Music

Graphics, detail, scenery, location, acting, ambient lighting. All of these are important when relating to a film, whether it be a movie or a documentary, or even an indie film production. However, of all the the things that go into a video, the most important has to be the soundtrack. A great movie is determined by how much it can move its audience. And in a culture as music-centric as our own, having a great soundtrack that moves you right down to your core, can make the difference between having a good film, and a brilliant film. The video linked in this post is one of the more modern genres known as "dub step." A type of beat-centric trance music.  This, is an example of a good theme to use in a film, if say, you were going for an emotional fight scene, or a travelling montage.
Fact of the matter is, good music can make, or break, a film. And can be the deciding factor between whether it becomes a blockbuster, or a one hit wonder.

Fighting on film.

The scene I am including in today's post is a fight scene from the movie "The transporter(2002.)"
This scene took place after the main character Frank Martin(Jason Statham,) had completed a job as a transporter for hire. throughout the video we see him lose his most prized posession (his car) and go through the motions of revenge, in which he goes back to the place where he'd made his delivery, to take down the thugs who had planted the bomb in his car. the entire scene has minimal dialogue, but shows immense amounts of emotion and range through the way in which they fight, and how Statham interacts with his environment. The choreography for the fight was spot on and played out pretty much flawlessly. And the musical choice for the piece was both fitting, and entertaining, giving the scene not only a sense of purpose, but a slight tone of humor as well.
In a final touch of irony, Statham's character finds the garage, and takes one of the cars there as colateral for the loss of his own.
I think this movie was extremely well put together, and just this scene alone was something of a marvel in and of itself. Fully recommend the film to anyone who enjoys a good action flick.

Initial post

This. is the first post. As There is no specific topic of which I can post for the time being, here's a rather funny video relative to one of my favorite video games that were released this year. The entire video is satirical in nature and meant to entertain.
